Denmark and North Macedonia will face off on Thursday evening in the battle for the final 2026 World Cup spots. Denmark finished their World Cup qualifying group in second place behind Scotland, collecting eleven points from six matches. The visitors from North Macedonia, on the other hand finished their group in third place behind Wales and Belgium. North Macedonia only managed to get the third place in their World Cup qualifying group with Belgium and Wales, but the team from Skopje collected 13 points and caused a few upsets. For example, they held Belgium to a draw in both matches, while after a draw in the first game against Wales, they were thrashed 1-7 in the second.
